As the State of RI enters Phase II of reopening among COVID 19, the restrictions on travel will be loosened. This means that the previously required quarantine of 14 days for all out of state travelers will be lifted. This is great news for all of us here who are looking forward to seeing our returning customers!
A few new changes at the New Harbor Boat Basin
All payments must be made electronically, and we will be assisting customers outside only, restricting access to the office for employees only. Also note that at this time, showers are unavailable though our restrooms will be open for other use.
Per the RI Department of Environmental Management, the following guidelines must be followed while staying at our facility:
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-recommended and state-required social distancing of at least 6 feet must be followed.
- Patrons should not congregate on the docks, parking lots, common areas, or near other customer boats on land.
- All patrons in public spaces should wear a face covering in accordance with Governor Gina Raimondo's Executive Order 20-24.
If you're visiting the New Harbor Boat Basin, we ask that you follow state guidelines at all times as a courtesy to the staff and other guests staying with us.
